KC invited to city-wide Easter sunrise service at Power & Light

This will be the ninth year for The Easter Sunrise Extravaganza
Join us from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the Kansas City Power and Light District at 13th and Gand Boulevard.

Jesus says in John 14, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”

How many funerals have you heard John 14:1-3 read? Do we have to die to enter the Father’s house to live? Now, let me propose to you that we do not die to get in to the Father’s house to be where Jesus is, we enter the Father’s house the moment we ask Jesus into our hearts to wash away our sins as far as the west is from the east. Is not this the point that we are with Jesus in the Father’s house? Does not Revelation 3:20 say? “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Do we not dine together with Jesus in the Father’s house?

As we dwell in the Father’s house here on this earth, Jesus prepared the way through His death on the cross and His resurrection from the grave. It is time leave our room in the Father’s house and go down the hallway and see who else is in the Father’s House. There are many “treasures” in the Father’s house just waiting for us to find them.

Think about when you were growing up and you went to your grandparent’s house. Their whole house was yours to explore and find what “treasures” were in the basement or upstairs or even in the attic. There was no place that was off limits for you to explore.

This is the same way with God’s house – it is time to go exploring and find the “treasures” that our Father has in His house just for us? It is time to see who is living in the rooms down the hallway from our room in the Father’s house.

Is the person living in the room down the hallway from the church down the street, from your church, from the church in the inner city, or from a church in one of the suburbs? What is stopping us from fellowshipping with the other “treasures” that are in the Father’s house? Is it not time that all that are in the Father’s house dine together with Jesus?

The Solemn Assembly of the Body of Kansas City, planned for Easter Morning on March 27, is an opportunity for all the churches in Kansas City” to come together because we are all living in The Father’s House (only in different rooms). It is time to come out of our individual rooms in the Father’s House and to gather in the large dining room of the Father’s House and enjoy a time of worship and a meal together.

This will be the ninth year for The Easter Sunrise Extravaganza to be held from 6:30 a.n. to 8:00 a.m. in the Kansas City Power and Light District at 13th and Gand Boulevard, which is in the heart (inner city) of Kansas City. God always deals with the heart first, so is it not appropriate that God deals with the Heart of Kansas City first? Blood flows from the heart out to the extremities of the Body. So as God deals with the heart of Kansas City the extremities (suburbs) of Kansas City will also be blessed.

Now when the Father speaks, all in the House will hear what He has to say. There will be no division. And when it is time for the “family” to go speak to the Mayor of Kansas City, ALL in the HOUSE will go.

WOW, won’t the Mayor be surprised!
