HHHS holding Super Bowl LIII adoption special today

In honor of Super Bowl LIII Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka will offer adoption of dogs and puppies for just $53 today, Sunday February 3, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

It will be just $15 to adopt cats and kittens (in honor of Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ number). Mahomes was named to the 2019 Pro Bowl, named First Team All-Pro, and named AFC Offensive Player Of The Year, NFL Offensive Player Of The Year and NFL MVP.

The special does not include High Profile Pets.

Mahomes is a fur-daddy to TWO puppers, Steel and Silver (he and his girlfriend recently added the new puppy to the family — you can follow the two photogenic canines on Instagram @steel_silver_mahomes).

Steel is a Pit Bull mix whose mission is to show everyone what wonderful pets Pit Bulls can be. HHHS has several Pit Bull mixes up for adoption who will make great companions for lucky adopters.

Now today it is easier than ever to find “(Ma)homes” for homeless pets.

HHHS says that right now could be a good time to add a furry friend to the family. During the winter we tend to spend more time at home, and it could be a great chance to bond with and train a new pet.

“We have many wonderful pets looking to make a touchdown in your heart!” Adoption Coordinator Michelle McCart said.
