Niece of MLK Jr. pens defense of Judge Kavanaugh

Congressional Opponents and some of their allies in the media have adopted an unprecedented standard of guilty until proven innocent to use thin and unsubstantiated claims to smear Supreme Court nominee Judge Kavanaugh.

With blatant disregard for the health of America, women and children in particular, the anti-life contingent continues to peddle violence under the guise of a false narrative for justice by “resisting” the appointment of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

Here’s a message from my beloved, now deceased pastor of 30 years. Pastor Allen McNair: Don’t Vote for Sin.

In addition, Rev. Bill Owens, Founder of Coalition of African American Pastors writes:

“Brett Kavanaugh has served his country with integrity. He has an exemplary record going back more than three decades,” stated Rev. Owens. “Now, his reputation has been maligned and his character attacked via an unsubstantiated allegation from when he was in high school. This is absurdity.”

“There is nothing to indicate that we should take these accusations seriously. From the moment they became public, it was clear that even the Democrats did not have faith in their veracity and were only hoping to manipulate the process… The Kavanaugh confirmation hearings have become an offense to decency and common sense. We, the people, have grown sick of this political posturing and partisanship. And we are unwilling to see a man’s character smeared for political gain? No! CAAP has launched a petition calling for a quick and civil confirmation vote. Join us! America must stop entertaining this obvious and manipulative smear campaign; end this circus before it does further harm to our country. It’s time to vote.”

Here’s how the media is even handling the allegations. Now, even the liberal  media is questioning the reporting and intent behind it after The New Yorker published new allegations against Kavanaugh despite the fact that it and the New York Times found zero evidence or first-hand corroborations.

THE NEW YORK TIMES: The Times had interviewed several dozen people over the past week in an attempt to corroborate her story, and could find no one with firsthand knowledge. Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale classmates asking if they recalled the incident and told some of them that she could not be certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself.

Ronan Farrow, one of the authors of an article, admitted there has been no eyewitness confirmation of Debby Ramirez’s allegations.

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: “But by your own admission, no eyewitness of the incident?”

RONAN FARROW: “Absolutely and we disclosed that up front and we also disclosed that she was inebriated at the time.”

Jane Mayer, one of the authors of the article, admitted that their only corroborating witness did not actually see anything happen and heard the story second-hand. In an interview with John Dickerson of CBS Morning News the interview went like this:

JOHN DICKERSON: “Jane, the corroborating witness which you say has all the details including Kavanaugh’s name, where did that witness come from and where did that witness get the information about this from if that person doesn’t know Ramirez?”

JANE MAYER: “He remembers it from, he was in the same dorm, same little building on Yale’s old campus, and he remembers it clearly. I asked him you know of course we’re going to be very careful–“

DICKERSON: “But did he see it?”

MAYER: “No, as I’ve said he heard it from someone who was there.”

Even the accuser’s best friend at the time said she had never heard of the allegation from her or from anyone else at school.

THE NEW YORKER: “The former friend who was married to the male classmate alleged to be involved, and who signed the statement, said of Ramirez, “This is a woman I was best friends with. We shared intimate details of our lives. And I was never told this story by her, or by anyone else. It never came up. I didn’t see it; I never heard of it happening.”

The accuser was originally unsure if Judge Kavanaugh was even responsible and only came forward after talking with a lawyer recommended by Senate Democrats for six days.

THE NEW YORKER: “She was at first hesitant to speak publicly, partly because her memories contained gaps because she had been drinking at the time of the alleged incident.”

On ABC News even with George Stephanopoulos was incredulous:

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: “She said at first she wasn’t sure this was Kavanagh when you first came to her last week. And then you write after six days of carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorneys she did become confident that it was him.”

As the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board wrote, this is the terrifying new standard radical Democrats are using to force Judge Kavanaugh to prove he is innocent, without any evidence to prove he is guilty.

THE WALL STREET JOURNAL EDITORIAL BOARD: “As Ms. Hill and Sen. Hirono over, the Democratic standard for sexual-assault allegations is that they should be accepted as true merely for having been made. The accuser is assumed to be telling the truth because the accuser is a woman. The burden is on Mr. Kavanaugh to prove his innocence. If he cannot do so, then he is unfit to serve on the Court.”

Senator Lindsey Graham calls this “the total collapse of the traditional confirmation process” to be replaced with “wholesale character assassination.”

SEN. LINDSEY GRAHAM: “What we are witnessing is the total collapse of the traditional confirmation process for a Supreme Court nominee.  It is being replaced by a game of delay, deception, and wholesale character assassination.”

WARNING!

The church must not be silent at this critical time! We must stand upon the WORD OF GOD and vote to resist evil. We must pray, then vote to support the president’s life affirming agenda through his choice of Judge Kavanaugh to be placed on the Nation’s highest court.
