Ernie Haase and Signature Sound’s new tour inspired by Broadway

Ernie Haase and Signature Sound with special guest J. Mark McVey from Broadway.

Fans of Ernie Haase and Signature Sound have an opportunity to see them in concert like they’ve never seen before. The group will perform with J. Mark McVey in “Inspiration of Broadway” at the Historic Missouri Theatre in St. Joseph on Saturday, January 27 at 7:30 PM. Tickets are on sale at the Performing Arts Association by calling 816-279-1225.

GRAMMY-nominated Ernie Haase and Signature Sound – known worldwide over the past decade for rich harmonies, energetic performances, and their love for the American spiritual, serves as the perfect complement to Broadway Star, J. Mark McVey’s (Les Miserables legend) extraordinary voice.

The Inspiration of Broadway showcases five-part harmony and lush symphonic arrangements, and highlights hope-filled classics like “Climb Every Mountain,” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” as well as heart-lifting selections including “I Got the Sun in the Morning” and “Get Happy.” While not gospel music you may have heard a few of them in your church.

Ernie has been singing professionally since 1990 when he joined the legendary Southern Gospel quartet, the Cathedrals, at their tenor singer. After the group’s retirement, Ernie traveled as a solo artist. But his heart was in quartet music. So he formed Ernie Haase and Signature Sound Quartet in 2003. As a group, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound is both GRAMMY-nominated and GMA Dove Award-winning, a radio favorite in the United States and internationally, and a leader in CD sales and long form music video sales. J. Mark McVey made his Broadway debut as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables after having won the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Actor while on tour. He was also the first American to perform the role in London’s West End. Mark reprised the role with the Los Angeles Philharmonic to sold-out crowds at the Hollywood Bowl and again for the 25th Anniversary Tour of Les Miserables where he won the Ovation Award and the BroadwayWorld.com Award on his way to eclipsing 3,268 performances in Les Miserables. McVey made his Carnegie Hall Debut with Mr. Marvin Hamlisch and continues to perform with numerous symphonies around the country and the world.

Ticket Prices Range From $12 to $45.
