Former NFL player Benjamin Watson will be keynote speaker at Vitae Foundation dinner

Former professional football player Benjamin Watson will be the keynote speaker at the Vitae Foundation’s annual Kansas City pro-life dinner. Missourians soon will be voting on Proposition 3, which would enshrine the right to abortion in the state Constitution.

Just before this critical vote, Vitae Foundation, which is based in Jefferson City, will host its event on October 22 at the Sheraton Overland Park.

Watson is a former tight end for the New England Patriots, as well as a writer, speaker and activist. He is a college football studio analyst with the SEC Network, and he serves as vice president of strategic relationships for the Human Coalition, one of the largest pro-life and pro-women’s organizations in the country. Along with his wife, Kirsten, Benjamin Watson is the founder of The Watson Seven Foundation, a nonprofit focused on strengthening families. They live in Georgia with their seven children.

The Vitae Foundation is an American 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization associated with the pro-life cause. Their focus is on engaging in advertising research and developing more effective messaging, and communicating the results of this research to other pro-life organizations (such as crisis pregnancy centers) and persons such as doctors and pastors who are or may be involved with pregnant women, to provide them with more effective ways to persuade undecided women to forgo abortion.

“In today’s culture, the abortion industry presents abortion as the only solution to an unexpected pregnancy,” according to the organization. “That is simply not true. Vitae Foundation conducts research on abortion decision making so we can perfect the right messages to effectively reach women facing unexpected pregnancies and connect them with pregnancy help centers and other lifesaving resources.”

Registration for the event is $100 per person ($50 tax deductible) and can be made online at vitaefoundation.org/events/kansas-city-pro-life-dinner/ or by calling (573) 634-4316. All proceeds will benefit the Vitae Foundation.
