Get your free pizza today, thanks to March Madness upset

Get your free pizza today thanks to a March Madness upset. Pizza lovers can score free slices for lunch thanks to the University of Maryland Baltimore County men’s basketball team.

Little Caesars is making good on its promise to give a $5 Hot-N-Ready lunch combo to America if a 16th seed upset a No. 1 seed during the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. UMBC, located in Baltimore, Maryland, did just that when the team defeated No. 1-ranked University of Virginia 74-57 on March 16 in the first round of the March Madness tournament. Prior to the win, a No. 16 seeds were 0-135 against No. 1 overall seeds.

  1. The offer starts from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. local time or as supplies last. Per the chain’s site, it’s one per family.
  2. This is key:

“To qualify, you must place your order no later than 1:00PM (local time) at the cashier. If you place your order afterwards, even if you were in line at 1:00PM (local time), the offer will have expired and will not be fulfilled.”

So get in line early!

  1. You can’t get the free lunch online, drive thru or delivery.

While you’re eating, remember this was probably a once-in-a-lifetime moment – 16 seeds were 0-132 against No. 1s until last month.

The offer includes four slices of its deep dish pepperoni pizza and a 20-ounce Pepsi product on Monday to anyone who goes to a participating location. Little Caesars is limiting the promotion to one combo per family and only while supplies last.
