Is it already March? Although January felt like three months, this
year is starting to move along swiftly. As a Pastor, my life can get pretty busy. I have chosen to intentionally take time out for my family. I would like to encourage all of you to take time for those you love. The word of God says in Mark, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” As we travel along life’s journey, let’s take our family with us.

Tasha Cobbs-Leonard
If I had to describe Tasha, I would say she is the voice of modern
gospel/worship. Her last three albums have skyrocketed the gospel music scene. Tasha knows exactly how to lead a crowd into the presence of God. She is continuously called upon to lead worship for churches, concerts and communities around the world. Heart. Passion. Pursuit. is the fourth album by this Grammy-winning Christian singer. Tasha was married in March 2017 to Kenneth Leonard.
For this album, she collected 25 worship leaders and several high-profile guests in the studio for a week of live recordings produced by Kenneth Leonard, Jr. The theme of human unity inspired a track list that includes featured gospel singers William Murphy and Kierra Sheard, Jimi Cravity, and pop star Nick Minaj. The latter appears on the epic “I’m Getting Ready,” which topped the gospel songs chart. There are several artists who also contributed to this album including Matt Redmann, Bryan & Katie Torwalt, Todd Gilbert and others.
A few of my favorite songs from this project are “Gracefully Broken”, “You Know My Name” and “I’m Getting Ready.”
I would highly encourage you to get yourself a copy of this project. Tasha’s music can be purchased on all digital media outlets.
Elevation Worship – Elevation Collective
Elevation Worship is the worship team of Elevation Church based out of Charlotte, NC. Led by Pastor Steven Furtick, the church was formed in 2006 with a vision to see people far from God
Elevation Worship is made up of worship leaders and musicians who serve faithfully in the church every weekend to see this vision come to life. And since the beginning, Elevation Worship has believed in the power of writing and recording songs that lift up the name of Jesus and reflect what God is doing in and through His people.
Elevation Worship along with Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, Israel Houghton, Travis Greene, Tye Tribbett, Kierra Sheard, and The Walls Group have joined together to create the Elevation Collective, a new project from Elevation Worship. The project is comprised of 8 tracks and brings a fresh take on Elevation Worship songs.
“We’ve seen the impact our songs have made beyond the walls of our church,” says Chris Brown of Elevation Worship. “We’ve seen them reach people in different churches, led in different styles and arrangements, and it’s inspired us to partner with some amazing artists to discover new expressions of some of our favorite Elevation Worship songs.”
