Nothing says family and community like a hot and fresh pizza on Family Night. When was the last time you sat down with your family and shared a meal to celebrate the good things in life and to connect with care about the challenges family members are facing? The owners of Cosmos Court and several other community partners believe that connecting in person and taking time to communicate is the best way to change and transform the Topeka metro area.
Chris Schultz, owner of Cosmos Court, and a well-known community leader, is committed to making a difference in Topeka and specifically downtown Topeka. Chris and his family have operated several businesses downtown and are passionate about creating a culture of food and fun that will inspire families and friends to make our community a great place. Cosmos Court has announced its Tuesday Night Family Pizza Night at Cosmos Court, from 5-11 p.m. at the Tinkham-Veale building, located at 909 S. Kansas Avenue since 2008.
“We are challenging everyone in the Topeka metro area to take the Family Dinner Night Challenge,” Schultz said in an interview with Metro Voice staff. “Our family has had a family dinner night for years and it has been a healthy and effective way for us all to stay connected and invite other people to get to know our family too. As a community celebration center, Cosmos Court is inviting families and friends to gather, to connect and care for each other and Topeka, on Tuesday night with us at 909 S. Kansas Avenue.”
Metro Voice staff will be on hand the first Tuesday of each month to distribute and discuss the latest issue of Topeka Metro Voice. Any questions and discussion is welcome. Other community businesses and organizations will participate on other various Tuesdays.
The Family Night Special every Tuesday is: One Large 16″ pizza with two side salads and 4 cups of ice cream for only $30! This special is offered every Tuesday from 5-11 p.m. Other menu items are also available.
All people in Topeka are welcome to be part of the cosmic family and to buy a Cosmos Pizza and have a Field of Green custom salad with your family, along with your downtown community, Shultz said.
“To kick off this monthly challenge,” Schultz continued, “we are excited to be launching this weekly challenge by promoting highlights from the June issue of the Metro Voice as part of a new monthly event on the first Tuesday night of each month. Join us for this kick-off experience and help us be the greatest community we can be in Topeka.”
Cosmos Court is a maker space for unforgettable experiences from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It is closed on Sunday. Try their Cosmos Pizza Club Italian cheese sticks and pepperoni calzones. Customers can make their Break Room nachos and Nathan’s quarter pound hot dogs any way they want. Can You Help?
As churches, ministries and businesses resume public events and outreach, don’t forget the advertising that the Topeka Metro Voice relies on for survival. For 16 years, Topeka Metro Voice has been a leader in community and faith-based news. We have historically relied on advertising to fund the mission of our publication and sharing the Good News, as well as supporting local small businesses and community events. We are now seeking partners who want to support our publication and our mission of faith-based journalism and supporting the community and local small businesses. We are saddened when we learn that a Christian organization or business has a big event, but doesn’t use Metro Voice to help promote it. They don’t realize that in addition to providing them with a service of connecting them with our readers, they are also supporting Christian journalism efforts in our community. We don’t charge a lot – even $20 can get you a small ad, and only $10 per month will get a church listed in our directory. Not to mention, we are very effective at reaching the folks with information about your events and organizations! Remind your church, ministry, or business advertising decision-maker to consider us as a partner, and let’s support each other!
Do you like what you read here? Help us continue our mission by supporting the Topeka Metro Voice in print and online for as little as $5. Every contribution counts, big or small. We sincerely thank you for your continued support and encouragement in these critical times.
