Ain’t Too Proud is based on a book written by three-time Obie Award winner Dominique Morisseau.   The musical follows The Temptations’ journey from the streets of Detroit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  It is a story of friendship, family, loyalty, and betrayal during a decade of civil unrest in America.

The musical had a series of regional productions and opened at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre in March 2019. The deep talent of the production is evident in meeting the challenging choreography of Tony Award winner of Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys, On Your Feet!)  It is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys).

Ain’t too Proud is a show that will bring back memories for baby boomers.   More importantly, it will introduce great music and timeless dance moves to the next generation.  The cast’s energy in Ain’t Too Proud will get young and old on their feet.
