Convocation 2022 will take place this weekend and organizers say it will serve to honor and build a bridge to Messianic communities in Kansas City.

The event, which is Aug. 19 and 20 at the Westin Crown Center, is sold out but will be live-streamed.

Organizers say it is meant to “build a bridge of unity, restore Kingdom Vision and prepare the Body for the imminent return of Yeshua/Jesus our Messiah.”

Sponsored by Ministries of New Life, Convocation is an annual gathering to prepare believers for Teshubah, 40 days of repentance.

Marilyn Griffin is the founder of MNL and has worked to bring unity and healing between the Jewish and Christian communities of Kansas City.

Griffin says Convocation 2022 is a call to:

The gathering will also address anti-Semitism that goes back over 1,000 years and has served as means of persecution of Jewish communities.

The organization’s mission is “Making straight a way for the Lord. Making ready a people prepared. It quotes found in Judges 5:2: “ “When the princes in Israel take the lead, when the people willingly offer themselves — praise Adonai!”

MNL has been instrumental in several key events in Kansas City’s recent spiritual history. Through MNL, the first Citywide Prayer Movements gathering took place in 1987 and has since spread to other cities.

Convocation speakers include: Marilyn Griffin of Ministries of New Life; Rabbi Jerry Feldman of Adat Yeshua Messianic Congregation; Rabbi Shmuel Wolkenfeld of Or HaOlam Messianic Synagogue and Joseph Mendenhall of Congregation B’nai Yeshurun.

Worship will be led by Daniel Brymer.

The event will be held at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center,  1 E Pershing Rd. Kansas City, MO
