A free BBQ will be held in conjunction with an election issues update on Thursday evening, Oct. 24 in Warrensburg.
Sponsored by the Johnson County Republican Committee, the event begins at 5:30 pm at the Milestones Barn Event Center just North of Warrensburg. The meal is provided by Belly Down BBQ. The venue is located at 380 MO-13 Business, Warrensburg, MO 64093.
“There are many issues on this ballot and most of media is very silent on much of it,” says event organizer Holly Schmitz. “The media is hoping to push through several Missouri amendments that will change the fabric and life culture of our State of Missouri in a very serious and deadly way.”

Scmitz said the most pressing issue is defeating Amendment 3 which, if passed, would throw out Missouri’s pro-life laws and enshrine abortion in the state constitution. It would also remove safeguards put in place for children concerning dangerous and life-altering gender surgeries and controversial hormone therapy for minors.
Those and other topics will be discussed.
The meeting and supper features local and statewide GOP Candidates who will have a few minutes to introduce themselves and share about their background, their hearts on issues and how they plan to make an impact in their respective office. Those attending include Denny Hoskins, Rick Brattin, Brandon Phelps, Roger Reedy, Rusty Sproat and Diane. Josh Hawley, Dave Wassinger, Mike Kehoe, Vivek Malek, Andrew Bailey as well as all other local candidates have been contacted as well.
Mr. Joe Nicola, US Navy Seabee Vet, Pastor, author & Business Owner and candidate for the MO State Senate will explain the statewide amendments and important issues facing the state.
