Sea Life Kansas City Aquarium lights up for Christmas

sea life

It’s Christmas under the sea at Sea Life Kansas City Aquarium. The popular holiday event Sea of Lights returns to the attraction Nov. 27.

This is the only underwater light spectacular in Kansas City. Visitors will be dazzled as they walk throughout thousands of twinkling holiday lights across Sea Life’s undersea wonderland for a one of a kind Christmas light experience.

The underwater wonderland event runs through Jan. 10.

Sea Life is the area’s newest attraction, taking visitors on an enthralling journey from the fresh waters of the Missouri River, into the mighty Mississippi River then out into the warm blue coral strewn waters of the Caribbean Sea, ending in the deep dark abyss of the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors come nose to nose with sharks and prepare for astonishingly close views of everything from humble starfish and seahorses to graceful rays. In addition, a stunning centerpiece is a huge tropical ocean tank with a walk-through underwater tunnel.

For Christmas, the always popular Scuba Claus will also return to see which sea animals are on the naughty or nice list in the Ocean Exhibit at select days and times during December.
