No need to travel to Orlando for the holidays when America’s #1 voted Christmas theme park destination is just a short drive away in Branson, Missouri. Silver Dollar City’s An Old Time Christmas festival has captured USA Today’s “Best Theme Park Holiday Event” title for an unprecedented seventh time, beating out major competitors like Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Legoland.

Brad Thomas, president of Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support. “We are so thankful for our friends from all over who took time to vote,” he said. “Christmas is such a special time for us, and we’re grateful to our fans for highlighting the city as the nation’s must-visit holiday destination. The energy and joy our citizens bring to our visitors makes Silver Dollar City the best and brightest place to spend the holidays with friends and family.”

The award-winning festival showcases more than 6.5 million lights, two Broadway-style Christmas shows, and Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Christmas Light Parade featuring numerous colorful, costumed characters. At the park’s summit, an eight-story Christmas tree serves as the centerpiece of Joy On Town Square, delivering a spectacular light-filled production equipped with LED-mapping technology synced with music, displaying angels, shepherds, ornaments, snow, and other festive imagery around the tree.

Christmas In Midtown, the park’s most concentrated light display, illuminates 70,000 square feet with 145 miles of lights. Visitors can also enjoy the Frisco Sing-Along Steam Train, a 12-foot talking tree, a living nativity, meet-and-greets with Santa Claus, and an array of Christmastime treats and holiday-inspired meals throughout the park.

Looking ahead to 2025, Silver Dollar City will celebrate its 65th season with exciting new experiences for the whole family. The anniversary celebration will feature the Spring Exposition festival, a sky-filling summertime drone show, a wild west stunt show, a live tree-lighting experience, an original Christmas show, and an expanded Grand Exposition area that will remain open year-round.

An Old Time Christmas runs through January 4, with 2025 season passes currently available for purchase. For additional information and tickets, visit www.silverdollarcity.com.
