40 Days for Life events across Missouri, Kansas this week

40 days

Several events are planned this week revolving around the close of this year’s 40 Days for Life campaign

The movement focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion, peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and grassroots educational outreach. Since 40 Days for Life began, over 23,000 mothers have chosen life for their children; more than 250 abortion workers have quit their jobs; and over 140 abortion centers where 40 Days for Life vigils have been held have gone out of business, according to the organization.

In Overland Park, Kan. a closing rally will be held Sunday, Nov. 5 outside the Center for Women’s Health at 4840 College Blvd.

In Wichita, a candlelight prayer vigil will be held outside Planned Parenthood Thursday, Nov. 2.

A closing rally and dinner will be held in Holts Summit, Mo. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 6pm at St. Andrew Church, 400 St. Andrew Dr.. Heather Gardner, Director of Campaign Advancement/365 of the peaceful, prayerful, effective 40 Days for Life project, will tell the story of this groundbreaking effort.

For the St. Louis region, a closing rally will be held Friday, Nov. 3. More details HERE.

“I’m honored to be able to join these folks in prayer. Their efforts illustrate why we’re seeing historic changes – more mothers choosing life, more abortion workers experiencing conversions and leaving the abortion industry, and more abortion centers closing their doors for good,” Gardner stated.

These are just some hundreds of communities around the world conducting simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaigns from September 27 to November 4.
