Favorite podcast? Readers give us their suggestions

The mind is a horrible thing to waste! We have heard this slogan for many years. However, it is true these days with COVID-19. There’s only so much television one can watch. This week we reached out to readers to share with us a podcast they recommend to educate, entertain and inspire us! You will be challenged and delighted to listen to the podcasts below while mowing the lawn, walking, or working on a project.

The World and Everything in It. Julie from Connecticut says “I love this podcast. It is clear and straightforward and from a biblical perspective. Not overly political.” The podcast describes itself as NPR from a Christian perspective.

The Naked Bible Podcast. Stacey from Lee’s Summit, Mo. recommends this because “Dr. Michael Heiser is a language scholar who provides perspective and adds depth to my studies. Dr. Heiser is the author of the book, The Unseen Realm, that examines the Bible and how the supernatural world interacts with us.

Unlocking Us   Ann from Columbia, Mo. suggest the podcast from Dr. Brené Brown. She states, “I find that her informative and often humorous talks give me new perspectives and practical ways to respond to others and myself with empathy rather than judgement and shame.” Her latest book, Dare to Lead, addresses courage and leadership.

The Dan Bongino Show. “He is very conservative and is prolife” states David from the Kansas City area. Dan Bongino was a member of the Secret Service and was assigned to the U.S. Presidential Protection Division during George W. Bush and Barack Obama’s terms. Bongino is engaging, witty and well-versed on current political issues.

Worldview Weekend Radio with Brannon Howse. Amy from Lee’s Summit listens because of his “in depth social commentary with a Biblical worldview.” Howse is the founder of Worldview Weekend whose conferences were held in more than 300 cities.

The Ben Shapiro Show. If you want to listen to a young conservative, this is your podcast. Sharpiro, who is 36, started a nationally syndicated column when he was 17 and had written two books by age 21. Julie states, “He is a master communicator with conservative values and strong Jewish faith. He is boldly prolife and is quick to criticize Trump or conservatives when appropriate.” Suggest this podcast to the young people around the Easter Zoom dinner!
