Shocking Image of migrants burning American flag

It’s not an image the nightly American news is showing but may indicate the intentions of at least some of those traveling in the migrant caravan.

As the migrant army swells to 7,000 as of Monday, observant readers have pointed out a photo by an AP photographer that captured two men in the caravan burning an American flag painted with a Nazi swastika.

The AP caption reads: “Two people burn a United States flag, during a protest in favor of the caravan of migrants that is currently stuck on the Guatemala-Mexico border, in front of the American embassy, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Friday, Oct. 19, 2018. The U.S.-bound caravan that once totaled more than 3,000 Central American migrants looked to be about a third that size Saturday morning, when its remaining members woke up on a bridge that divides the borders of Guatemala and Mexico and waited to get past a crossing guarded by hundreds of Mexican federal police. The mass of migrants has grown to 7,000 people and now stretches several miles as they march towards the US border.

As the mass of people moves north, some expect it to grow larger–even approaching 15,000, before it reaches the US border.

President Trump has announced that the group poses a security threat and has threatened to deploy the US military to secure the border.

Mexican officials over the weekend made dozens of arrests for weapons and illegal drugs within the group.

President Trump insists Mexico turn the caravan around, and while hundreds of police were sent to the border, they could not stop the marchers.

The migrants, mainly from Honduras, broke through fences or ferried themselves across the Suchiate River which marks the border with Guatemala.
