Two special events are planned for Sunday in support of the 240 hostages currently being held in Israel. Onen is at Abundant Life Church in Lee’s Summit and the other is a rally on the Plaza.

Christians must stand with one voice in unity with the Jewish community.

Isaiah 61:1 states: “For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.”

If you desire to learn more, see beyond the headlines, learn why the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas have changed the world, and gain insight to pray more effectively, join Metro Voice in attending these events.

First on Sunday, at 2pm, is a rally at the Plaza fountains. Photos of the 240 hostages, includig 10 Americans and 33 children, will be displayed. It will be a peaceful rally with singing. It follows a similar rally earlier this week which saw drivers showing their support of the effort.

Then on Sunday evening, Israeli Defense Force (IDF) Veteran Uri Goldflam will speak at Abundant Life Church in Lee’s Summit.

You’ll get a first-hand account of conditions on the ground in Israel, an update on the war against Hamas and ways to ensure Israel is not abandoned in these difficult times.

Born in Israel, Uri Goldflam has 30 years of experience in the field of Israel education, and educational tourism. He’s a popular lecturer and educational consultant.
