‘Fashioned in His Image’ celebrates the beauty of women and motherhood

After the success of the last year’s event, Missouri Right to Life Western Region will hold its second pro-life Ladies’ event, “Fashioned in His Image” on Saturday, June 4. Director Linda Verhulst told Metro Voice, “Our goal for this year, as always, is to continue to broaden our influence and heighten awareness for life. We endeavor to honor moms who have chosen life with the presence of several from pregnancy clinics, shelters, and our local community. We also hope to influence those in attendance who are unsure of their stance on life. Funds this year will include affirming the beauty of women and motherhood and educating those in crisis on the options and support available to them.”

Verhulst says that previous funds raised allowed Missouri Right to Life-Western Region to branch out into the Hispanic community via billboards, Spanish-language pamphlets, and newspaper inserts.

That’s an important move as Kansas City, Mo. counts almost 11% of its population as Hispanic while in Kansas City, Kan. it’s over 30%.

The event will be at Lee’s Summit Community Church, 1440 SW Jefferson, Lee’s Summit from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm on June 4.   It will fature food, fellowship, a silent auction, raffles, games, prizes, and a Fashion Show.

If you would like to join others in expanding the pro-life community and give women an opportunity to celebrate life together, you can register at www.mrlwesternregion.org/ladies-event.html or call (816) 353-4113. Tickets are $25.

Missouri Right to Life’s mission is to serve as a non-partisan, multi-denominational, that upholds and promotes the sanctity of all innocent human life from the inception of biological development through natural death by providing education. It does this by supporting legislation and programs that endorse that ideal, and by organizing citizens for effective results.
