The Missouri State Fair is a go. A spokesperson for Missouri’s Agriculture Department confirmed on Tuesday that the popular annual event would take place, after a year off during the pandemic.
The announcement is good news for young farmers who showcase their livestock at the state’s premier summer event as well as the tens of thousands who attend.
This year’s fair is will be held Aug. 12 through 22 in Sedalia. It offers competitions, shows, free as well as grandstand entertainment and tons of food.
The fair joins other events returning to their normal schedule as Covid rates continue to drop and all without a state-wide mask mandate.
The fair website is warning the public to be on the lookout for scams:
“Though many online ticket brokers may imply that they are an official website for ticket purchases for our events, only this website and etix.com are official online ticket purchase points for 2021 Missouri State Fair concerts and events. We cannot guarantee that tickets purchased from other sources are legitimate. We will not be able to assist you if there is a problem with tickets purchased from such companies.”
