Today’s News Briefs include polls on debate winner; CNN admits Biden wasn’t telling the truth; IDF kills Hamas holed up in schools, UN facilities.

Poll on debate winner

CNN also reports that “Debate watchers say, 67% to 33%, that Trump turned in a better performance Thursday. Prior to the debate, the same voters said, 55% to 45%, that they expected Trump to turn in a better performance than Biden. And in 2020, Biden was seen by debate watchers as outperforming Trump in both of their presidential debates.”  The poll is even shocking for Democrats who overwhelmingly say Trump won –by almost 70%. “A near-universal 96% of GOP debate watchers say Trump did the better job in the debate, while a more modest 69% of Democratic debate watchers view Biden as the night’s winner,” CNN reports.

CNN lists times Biden misled during debate

As Democrats scramble after a “horrific” debate performance by President Joe Biden, CNN has listed nine “falsehoods” by Biden. The liberal news network, which is being applauded for its fair debate, writes: “Biden made at least nine false or misleading claims in the debate. He used false numbers while describing two of his key Medicare policies, falsely claimed that no US troops had been killed on his watch, repeated his usual misleading figure about billionaires’ tax rates, baselessly claimed that Trump wants to eliminate Social Security, falsely said that the unemployment rate was 15% when he took office, inaccurately said that the Border Patrol union had endorsed him before clarifying that he was talking about agents’ support for the border bill he had backed, and exaggerated Trump’s 2020 comments about the possibility of treating Covid-19 by injecting disinfectant.” A New York Times column says Biden must step aside to defeat Trump.

IDF kills dozens of Hamas in schools, UN facility

The IDF began activity in the area of Shejaia, located in northern Gaza, and killed dozens of terrorists operating who were hiding in United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) schools, the military said on Friday morning. The Jerusalem Post reports today, “The IDF began a re-invasion of Shejaia in northern Gaza on Thursday after establishing operational control there in January. According to the IDF, intelligence indicated the presence of terrorists and terrorist infrastructure in the area, resulting in their activity both above and below ground. Troops began their activity during the day and started to conduct targeted raids overnight.” Israel says they will wrap up major operation in Gaza in the coming weeks as attention turns to Hezbollah in Lebanon which has fired 7,000 missiles into Israel since Oct. 7.
