Today’s news briefs include the faith of James Earl Jones; American protester killed by IDF in Samaria was part of group linked to terrorism.

James Earl Jones and his greatest role

For James Earl Jones, who died on Monday, his greatest role was narrating the Bible. The iconic actor starred in some of the most popular films in history including the voice of characters Darth Vader in “Star Wars” and Mufasa in “The Lion King.” He was a devout Catholic who described his work narrating the New Testament as the “greatest honor” of his life, Catholic News Agency reported.  He went on to discuss his faith and how it intersected with his career and the impact of his priest. “And so, when I was asked to record the New Testament, I really did it for a tall, lean man with gray hair who had not only helped to guide me to the author of the Scriptures, but as the father of my resurrected voice, had also helped me find abundant life,” he wrote

American killed in Israel part of terror-linked group

Israel on Tuesday said an American-Turkish pro-Palestinian protester was likely shot “indirectly and unintentionally” by its soldiers. The death came during a riot against Israeli communities near Biblical Schechem, now known as the Arab city of Nablus. “The incident occurred during a violent gathering of dozens of Palestinian suspects, who burned tires and threw stones at forces at the Beita Junction,” stated the IDF. The protest was near where Israeli citizens in their cars and IDF soldiers have been murdered at checkpoints. Aysenur Eygi, 26, was an activist with the anti-Israel International Solidarity Movement, reports JNS. The group has previously hidden terrorists in its Nablus headquarters and staff have donated to Hamas. President Joe Biden expressed his outrage insisting her “idealism led her to travel to the West Bank to peacefully protest.”
