Orange Tour stop in KC will encourage church leaders, volunteers and parents

A national one-day training event for church leaders, volunteers, and parents makes a stop in Kansas City in October.  The Orange Tour outlines a comprehensive strategy from preschool to adulthood for influencing the faith of the next generation.

The theme of the conference is “It’s Personal,” and not only speaks to what causes some churches to have a greater impact, but how to create a personal faith in the lives of kids and teens.

The event is scheduled in Kansas City for Oct. 18 during its nationwide 15-city tour. The conference will be held at Westside Family Church in Lenexa, Kan. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Registration is available at their website.

Orange Tour has become a sought-after event for thousands of family ministry teams due to its regional access and varied format. It offers attendees both inspiring main sessions and customized breakouts to align leaders and volunteers. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to have fun together and network with peers.

The event is sponsored by a division of The reThink Group,  a nonprofit organization providing resources to help churches engage kids, partner with parents, and equip volunteers. Their curriculum combines child development research and theology to create a comprehensive strategy for every phase of a kid’s life, influencing their faith from birth to graduation.

The theme “It’s Personal” reinforces the idea that everything changes when everyone who shows up cares about the faith of every kid. Volunteers have deeper commitment, parents engage at a more practical level, ministries make a greater impact, churches have wider influence, and leaders leave a lasting mark. This year’s event will provide a practical to make that happen.

Designed to synchronize every member of a ministry team—preschool, children’s, student, NextGen/family ministers, senior pastors, and volunteers—this event will help churches create maximum impact in their communities. A few highly-anticipated speakers include: Jon Acuff, Virginia Ward, Paula Danielle, Sam Collier, Doug Fields, Kara Powell, Joseph Sojourner, Gerald Fadaymi, Kristen Ivy, and Reggie Joiner.

In addition to Orange Tour, two special events will once again be held the night before the all-day event. Lead Small Night provides fun, engaging, and practical content for small group leaders to learn how to better invest in the lives of the kids they lead. And Parent Cue Live is a unique gathering designed to help parents learn how to be more intentional at home. Parents will laugh, connect, and learn what their kids need most at this phase of life. A ticket to either two-hour event can be purchased for $12.50 with an Orange Tour ticket, or separately for $25.

Other our stops for the 2019 season include: Milledgeville, Ga., Seattle, Wash., Irvine, Calif., Phoenix, Ariz., Indianapolis, Ind., Boston, Mass., Lancaster, Pa., Detroit, Mich., Chicago, Ill., Austin, Texas, Dallas, Texas, Charlotte, NC., Atlanta, Ga., and Orlando, Fla.

Registration  includes lunch as well as the small group or parent event. Prices for each city will increase as the events get closer, and some cities will sell out, so early registration is encouraged. For more information or to register, please visit www.OrangeTour.org.
