About Us

Metro Voice is a noprofit, faith, educational and cultural website. It was established in 1989 as a local church-driven newspaper.

Do you know of an aspiring young writer? We encourage student internships for hands-on training in website maintenance, writing, design and more.

Want to help these efforts? Donate now to keep independent faith-based journalism alive. https://metrovoicenews.com/donate

Sign up to receive our Friday email filled with the news, new concert dates, entertainment reviews and more! Or just drop us a line to say hello!

Our local feature and news website serves to bring diverse communities in Kansas City together. We work with local nonprofit organizations to promote their events to the public at large. Regular sections include Entertainment and the arts, Kansas City and Topeka news, Missouri and Kansas regional news, opinion, family features, travel, reviews and classified ads. We also sometimes include a link to a book, or DVD that we have mentioned in a story. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases on Amazon.

All images are used for educational or cultural purposes. Metro Voice is not liable for images that appear mistakenly or are uploaded by a volunteer. In addition, some photos may be used under Section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976 provides, “ fair use of a copyright work… is not an infringement of copyright.”
