Journey Bible Church “Pathways of Promise” Israel Tour

Step into the story.
Would you like to trade your routine for an experience that will shape your faith forever? Journey Bible Church invites you to walk the ancient paths of the Holyland with Pastor Mike and Elizabeth Bickley, October 17–28, 2026. Guided by Pastor Mike’s heartfelt teaching and hosted by Dwight and Anita Widaman of Heartland to Holyland Tours, you’ll discover a land where every sunrise feels sacred and every stone has an ancient story.

For eleven days, the pages of Scripture won’t just be words—you’ll see, hear, and feel them come alive. Imagine drifting on the Sea of Galilee as morning mist blurs the shoreline, or standing in the Old City where prayers and miracles still echo around you. You’ll watch the sun set over the Mediterranean, much like prophets, kings, and Apostle Paul once did, climb the very steps Jesus used to enter the Temple Mount, and realize the Bible is more vivid and real than you ever dreamed.
This is more than a trip. It’s a chance to share laughter, awe, and sweet fellowship with your friends and family in the very places where God’s redemptive plan unfolded. Israel isn’t a destination—it’s an awakening. Suddenly, the stories you’ve known your whole life burst into color, revealing layers and meaning you never expected.

For decades, Dwight and Anita have returned to this sacred land again and again, each visit revealing new treasures. Every journey brings fresh insights into the land, its people, and most importantly, the living reality of our faith. No one leaves Israel unchanged. The fog of media misconceptions melts away, replaced by clarity and understanding.
You’ll experience all this on our deluxe, custom small-group tour, stay in award-winning 5-star hotels, savor local cuisine, and share meaningful fellowship, all while Pastor Bickley brings Scripture to life. When you return home, you are different – Israel is now forever in your heart and always on your mind.
The Holyland is calling. Will you answer?
Making Your Holy Land Journey a Reality
The decision to walk where Jesus walked is more than a travel choice – it’s a step of faith. We understand the careful consideration this journey requires, from the investment of time to the financial commitment. But we also know the profound impact it will have on your faith and understanding of Scripture.
Think of this not as a vacation expense, but as an investment in your spiritual growth – one that will transform how you read Scripture and understand your faith for years to come.

On some days, there is a fair amount of walking, often over uneven pavement or outdoor rustic areas and trails. While there may be considerable walking on some days, it is broken up by the group stopping for our teachings and archaeological explanations, restroom breaks and lunch. There are also steps in numerous areas. The tour is not available for individuals using wheelchairs or walkers, or for those for whom walking is a challenge and not a part of their daily routine. If this describes you, contact us and we can help arrange a trip that suits your particular needs and abilities. Between now and the tour, make a point to walk daily for 45 minutes to an hour to build up your stamina. Bring good walking shoes. Sandals are not recommended. We use personal headsets for each guest to hear the pastor and guide. If you use a hearing aid, please let us know.
The itinerary above will change depending on highway detours or opening times of sites. The order of days may change and the order within a day may change due to circumstances out of our control (weather, detours, changed opening times etc.).
