Comedy Café is a fun night out for a good cause

When was the last time you laughed so hard it hurt? Comedy Café featuring Michael Joiner is a fun night out for a good cause. Joiner has been performing his own style of observational stand-up comedy for over 25 years, becoming one of the best known and respected clean comics working today. He connects with people of all ages and will make this an unforgettable evening, for a great cause!

Audiences around the country may recognize Michael from one of his many starring roles in films like Sony Pictures theatrical sleeper hit, “The Grace Card” or the more recent Comedy hit “Heaven Bound”, as well as his scene-stealing roles in movies such as “My Name is Paul,” “Rumors of Wars,” “Love Covers All” and “Kudzu Zombies.”  Michael is the 1st Place winner of the Hollywood Improv’s “Funniest Comic In L.A. 2008,” and 2010 Christian Music Hall of Fame “Comedian of the Year” nominee. Joiner has attracted wide praise for his routines that blend a sarcastic edginess with a devotion to clean humor.

In its seventh year, Youth for Christ’s Com Café is a fundraising event that helps fund the on-going ministries of Topeka Youth For Christ.  The Comedy Café treats participants to coffee and delicious desserts, as well as a creative program that highlights young people and tells the YFC story.

The 2023 Comedy Café will be held April 28 at Topeka Bible Church, 1135 SW College Ave., beginning at 6:30 pm. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Go to www.topekayfc.org/event/comedy_cafe or call 785-232-8296 for reservations or to sponsor a table. You can also email tyfcoffice@gmail.com.
