Great American Media is promoting “40 Days of Lent: A Journey of Faith and Reflection” leading up to Easter. From heartfelt films to messages of renewal, reflection and hope from the company’s family of stars, the focus of the experience will be on the true meaning of the resurrection.
“Easter is a time of renewal, hope and reflection, reminding us of the profound impact of faith in our everyday lives,” President and CEO Bill Abbott said. “By embracing the traditions of faith — whether through prayer, acts of kindness or personal reflection — we connect with the deeper meaning of the season.”
Among the programs that will be shown:
• “Forty-Seven Days With Jesus,” starring Yoshi Barrigas and Catherine Lidstone, will premiere at 7 p.m. on April 7. In this movie, a disconnected family finds hope and unity through a cinematic retelling of Jesus’ final 47 days on earth.
• “The Passion Play,” live from Shepherd Church Los Angeles, returns at 2:45 p.m. on Good Friday, April 18.
• “Faith of Angels” (time and date TBD), starring John Michael Finley, Cameron Arnett, Kirby Heyborne and Charlotte Hemmings, is based on a true story about a little boy lost in a Utah mine and the guardian angel intent on finding him.
In addition, throughout the season of Lent, Pure Flix will present:
• The inspiring story of “The Blind,” starring Aron Von Andrian in the true story of Duck Dynasty founder Phil Robertson’s descent into darkness before finding salvation.
• “The Two Thieves,” starring Jonathan Roumie from “The Chosen.”
• Candace Cameron Bure presents “Just In Time,” starring Laura Osnes and Peter Bryant.
• The Museum of the Bible presents “The History of Easter,” with Christian songwriter Matthew West as host.
• “Apostle Pete,” starring Bruce Marchiano, Lawrence Fuller and Robert Loggia.
Throughout the Easter season, Pure Flix will feature engaging videos from Great American Media talent sharing their personal faith journeys or favorite scripture, faith-based films and daily gratitude elements, which provide a joyful, reflective, and deeply personal place to rejoice.
