March 20-29 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts KANSAS CITY, MO (Feb. 9, 2026) — Artistic Director Devon Carney announced today a new mixed repertory ballet program featuring three short dance works, Stars and Stripes, to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary with a thrilling dance journey. With performances running from March 20-29 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Stars and Stripes will feature three works, George Balanchine’s stirring, eponymous 1958 patriotic masterpiece Stars and Stripes, Agnes de Mille’s Rodeo, an exploration of the American West set to Aaron Copland’s vibrant score, and a world premiere by innovative choreographer Caili Quan.
