Ring In the New Year’s Eve and Still Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Local activities abound around Kansas City

Activities on New Year’s Eve would be friendlier for young children (and many parents) if it started earlier. Several events across the Kansas City area will enable families to ring in the new year and still be in bed before the ball drops in Times Square.

  • Noon Year’s Eve at Science City. This event is both fun and educational for kids, and activities are included with admission. (www.unionstation.org).
  • Wonder Eve at Wonderscope. The morning will be filed with fun activities such as crafts, face painting, balloon artists and a spectacular confetti countdown at noon to welcome the new year in style. After the confetti showers, the museum will close. Activates are free with paid admission or membership. (www.wonderscope.org). Noon Year’s Eve at Kanga’s Indoor.
