The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are.

The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are. Everyone is welcome–from beginning bird watchers to experts. Participants tally the number of individual birds of each species they see during their count period. They enter these numbers on the GBBC website.

Learn how to create your own mini ecosystem in a glass container with the guidance of our experienced instructors. This hands-on workshop is perfect for plant lovers of all levels. The $25 will include a large and attractive glass jar, our special terrarium soil, 2-3 plants, pretty hardscapes (rocks and wood), and instruction. You may purchase a larger or “fancier” glass jar, geodes, crystals, and vintage figurines for your terrium at an extra cost if you wish when you are there, but it is not necessary!
