Originally constructed by the Reformed Latter Day Saints, the building later became home to Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church. Over the past three decades, the building has been more than a place of worship – it has been a cornerstone for generations of families. “There’s been over 30 years of history here. For some people, this is where they grew up… three generations have had their spiritual life formed and strengthened in this building,” said Fr. Nikolai Meyers.
From baptisms to Holy Week celebrations, the space has hosted countless ceremonies and gatherings that have shaped the spiritual lives of its parishioners.

The church’s exterior, with its attractive brickwork and welcoming entryway, is just the beginning. Inside, sunlight pours through updated windows, highlighting rich wood paneling and trim. Walls painted in golden tones complement the wood, creating a warm, comfortable atmosphere.
“The building’s southern light and wood trim create a warm, inviting atmosphere, which is very characteristic of Orthodox churches,” said Fr. Nikolai Meyers. These features make the space both personal and welcoming – qualities that have helped define the congregation’s identity over the years.

Flexible Space for Worship and Beyond
The sanctuary comfortably accommodates 80–90 people, though it has hosted over 100 for special occasions. The adjoining fellowship hall provides additional space for gatherings, making the property ideal for a small to mid-sized congregation.
“The building itself is flexible. For us, over 100 people on a Sunday is our norm, but the space could be adjusted for another congregation’s needs,” said Fr. Nikolai Meyers.
A Church at the Heart of Its Neighborhood
For years, the church has been a visible presence in its community. Annual events, including a Greek Festival in the fall, and summer programs for children and teens, bring neighbors together and extend the church’s mission beyond its walls.
“We’ve been a part of this community for decades… people walking down neighborhood streets, kids playing nearby – it’s a neighborhood church in every sense,” said Fr. Nikolai Meyers.
