Lenexa Baptist Church hosted a Missions Conference October 20-21 designed to inspire and encourage anyone passionate about missions and church planting. Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Steve Dighton, the church has grown from a church plant to thriving body of believers planting other campuses in the Kansas City area. LBC is designated as a “send” church by the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention to help accomplish the goal of planting new works in our region. Special guests included Gracia Burnham, noted missionary and author; Dr. Ronnie Floyd, the Senior Pastor of Crosschurch; a multi-campus ministry based in Springdale, Arkansas; Dr. Tom Elliff, President of the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention; William E.G. Thomas — International Vice President of the Gideons International; Aaron Coe — Vice President-Mobilization for the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
