National Day of Prayer Broadcast Features Tebow, Hope

Millions of Christians from across the nation are expected to join in the National Day of Prayer on Thursday. “Pour Out to the God of Hope and Be Filled” is this year’s theme.
At the heart of this year’s call to prayer is Romans 15:13: “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” This verse, chosen by Kathy Branzell, president of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, arose out of a season of deep intercession. “My heart was broken,” she said, “and I spent significant time in prayer pouring out my heart to God over the false narrative I kept hearing people profess of hopelessness.” Her time in scripture pointed her to this message of hope, which she believes is desperately needed in today’s culture.
Branzell and Tim Tebow will host a national program at 7 p.m. that will be streamed on the task force website and broadcast on CBN and other Christian media outlets. Tebow leads the broadcast at 7 p.m. that will be streamed on the task force website and broadcast on CBN and other Christian media outlets. Scheduled speakers include A.R. Bernard, the Rev. Sammy Rodriguez, Dr. Ben Carson, Rob Pacienza, Kerry Hasenbalg, Dallas Jenkins, Dr. Tim Clinton and more. Worship will be led by Juan and Melodee DeVevo of Casting Crowns.
“The hope promised by God, of resurrection and eternal life, must spill over and burst forth into our every day,” Branzell said. “Abundant life does not begin when we die. It began when we said yes to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are not helpless and hopeless. We are flourishing and fruitful forever in the hands and heart of God.”
As more than 19,000 prayer coordinators prepare events in every state and across communities large and small, the vision remains clear — to unite the nation in humble, hope-filled prayer. Artist Julie Ann Scott visually captured the theme in the 2025 theme art, a vibrant painting that reflects the power and promise of hope found in Christ. “Hope holds our hearts and hands open to all God has purposed and planned,” Branzell said.
The region will gather for prayer events across Missouri and Kansas. To join the prayer, watch the broadcast or find a local prayer gathering, visit www.nationaldayofprayer.org.
