National March for Life today in DC

The 2024 March for Life is underway in Washington, DC today as an expected 100,000 pro-life supporters descend on the National Mall.

This year’s theme is “With every woman, for every child” and focuses on the work of thousands of pro-life women’s clinics and ministries that care for both the mother during pregnancy and the both her baby during early childhood. Data shows that faith-based ministries provide the vast majority of private-based care in these situations.

“We celebrate the heroic work of Pregnancy Care Centers and Maternity Homes, while offering a roadmap to how we will truly achieve a life-affirming culture that respects the inherent dignity of all human life,” Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life, said.

Several religious and pro-life organizations will be at the event, including Catholic and Protestant churches, Christian media, ministries, political groups and even the Atheists for Life organization.

Watch the event LIVE at 11 Central on CBN below:

“Today, as throughout our history, NRB affirms the right to life of the unborn, grieves the demand for and celebration of abortion within American society, and supports laws and reforms that uphold the sanctity of life, reduce abortions, and treat all human life with dignity,” said NRB President & CEO Troy A. Miller.

This event will mark two years after the historic overturning of Roe v. Wade, and comes during a time when abortion will be among the big topics in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Event officials declare the march as the “world’s largest annual human rights demonstration,” but it also runs concurrently with other scheduled events from Kansas to Florida and California.
