NOTO director to speak at C5 luncheon

The public is invited to attend the April C5Alive “POWER” Luncheon, when Thomas Underwood, Executive Director of NOTO Arts District, will be the featured speaker. He will have an update of plans for new additions and renovations in the NOTO Arts District.

The luncheon will be held April 11, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the NOTO Arts Center at 935 N. Kansas Ave. The meal will be catered by Engroff’s Catering.

Plans have been put in motion for Redbud Park, the Arts Center, and other new and improved additions to the North Topeka area, and Thompson will discuss the details and answer questions.

The cost to attend the luncheon is $10 for C5Alive members and first-time guests who RSVP, and $12 at the door. Non-members and other guests pay $15. C5 luncheons are open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend, organizers said.  RSVPs and inquiries can be sent to info@C5Alive.org.

C5Alive “POWER” luncheons are held on the second Thursday of each month. The location for this month’s luncheon is on the route of this year’s Easter Parade on N. Kansas Avenue.

EASTERFEST, C5Alive’s big annual event, will take place on April 20 this year, the day before Easter as always. The Easter Parade will take place on N. Kansas Avenue from NOTO to Garfield Park, and the Fun Fair will be held again in Garfield Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For more details on the Easter event will be shared at the luncheon, or visit the C5Alive facebook page or www.C5Alive.org for more information.

C5Alive is an organization founded in 2009, dedicated to developing and uniting Christian Leadership in the community, involving businesses, non-profits and churches.

In addition to monthly “POWER” luncheons held on the second Thursday of each month, C5 also hosts periodic business fairs and other events, including the annual Topeka Easter Parade and Family Fun Fest.

C5 members may also sponsor luncheons and other events as a way to promote their organizations.  For more information about C5, go to C5Alive.org, facebook.com/C5Alive, or call 785-640-6399.
