Silver Dollar City, Big Cedar Lodge Win USA Today Honors

USA Today readers have recognized two Branson attractions, Silver Dollar City and Big Cedar Lodge, as the best in their categories, shining a spotlight on these iconic Missouri destinations. Silver Dollar City was recently named America’s best theme park for the third consecutive year, a remarkable achievement in a field crowded with legendary destinations. This national recognition demonstrates how the park continues to outperform established competitors in the industry.

“We appreciate our fans and the readers of USA Today for voting for Silver Dollar City,” said Brad Thomas, president of the theme park. “Every single day, our citizens strive to entertain our guests in this unique theme park nestled in the heart of the Ozarks. In the past year, we’ve welcomed visitors from all 50 states, plus 30 countries. Our guests choose to visit us for our eclectic mix of thrilling rides, family experiences, home cooking-inspired menus, skilled demonstrating craftsmen and artisans, entertaining shows, and world-class festivals that change by season.” Attendance numbers have surged as visitors flood to Silver Dollar City, and the park continues to draw families from across the country.

Rivertown Smokehouse, Silver Dollar City’s barbecue restaurant, earned second place for best theme park restaurant, adding to the park’s growing reputation for exceptional food. In entertainment, the Rivertown Ramblers stage show was ranked second among all theme park performances, while the Time Traveler roller coaster achieved its highest-ever finish as the sixth-best coaster in the nation. The past season also saw Branson attractions drawing record crowds and setting new standards for guest experiences.

With around two million people exploring its 40 rides and attractions annually, Silver Dollar City stands among the best family theme parks in America. Its continued popularity and acclaim highlight the park’s enduring appeal for both locals and tourists.

The region’s accolades don’t stop there. Readers also voted Big Cedar Lodge, located in Ridgedale, as the number one golf resort in the United States for 2025. Set on the shores of Table Rock Lake and created by Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris, Big Cedar Lodge is celebrated not only for its conservation efforts but also for its unique public golfing experience. Guests frequently praise the resort’s variety of accommodations, natural beauty, and amenities such as restaurants, swimming pools, and a spa.

“It’s very humbling to be recognized with this honor, especially because the voting was done by golfers and guests who have visited Big Cedar Lodge and golf resorts and destinations across America,” Morris said. “It’s a testament to our beautiful Ozarks and to the shared passions of many talented people, including our team members, who wake up every morning committed to providing the most genuine, friendly hospitality and creating lifelong happy memories for our guests.”
