Kansas City’s premiere DRIVE-THRU Christmas lights experience!

Winter Magic is presented to you in partnership with the Kansas City, Missouri, Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners next to the Kansas City Zoo in Historic Swope Park. Proceeds benefit KC Parks Summer Camp Scholarship Fund.

Come one, come all, to Winter Magic – the most fantastic of drive-thru holiday events in Kansas City. A world of winter wonder awaits you! Don’t worry about Krampus (or COVID-19), you’ll be safe in your car the whole time. Hey, wear your pajamas and bring your hot chocolate, if it pulls your sled. Drive thru nearly one mile of the most amazing, mesmerizing, WINTERrifically magical holiday light experiences you’ve ever laid your gazers on. See the elves work the toy factory, cruise through the longest light tunnel in the Midwest, be hypnotized by our spinning trees, rock the elf out in Pixel Town, and so much more. Elf buddies Peerpil and Alinor will be at the gate to greet you. I’m telling ya, your snodsokklers will probably never believe you.

See the holiday magic every night this season from 5 to 11pm in historic Swope Park next to the Kansas City Zoo. The magic runs November 2nd through the new year. Tickets go on sale online starting October 1st. Winter Magic is Kansas City’s premier COVID-free, drive thru winter event. Plus, proceeds benefit KC Parks Summer Camp Scholarship Fund – making sure all local children have access to summer learning and fun. Winter wonder for a wonderful cause. Mamas in Pajamas offers unique holiday shopping opportunity

Holiday shopping is taking on a new twist this year with wine and pajamas.

Mamas in Pajamas, hosted by The KC Women’s Ministry, is set for 5 to 9 p.m. December 1, 2 and 3 at the Top Hat Winery in Independence, benefitting the organization’s Postpartum and Birth it Forward programs.

This one of a kind night out encourages everyone to show up in their favorite holiday-themed pajamas, shop with local crafters and enjoy some holiday treats while doing so.

“We are so incredibly excited to host the first annual Mama’s in Pajamas local vender fair event,” said Kristen Mason, KCWM’s Education Director. “Make a new holiday tradition with your friends getting unique gifts, having a glass of wine, and taking your picture with Santa, all while supporting a great cause!”

Each night will carry its own theme. The first night will feature classic Christmas, the second night, on Dec. 2 is Whoville, and the event concludes with Hawaiian Christmas on Dec. 3. Those who dress in the themed pajamas can participate in the nightly contests for a chance to win a trophy and bragging rights.

While dressing to theme is strongly encouraged, any pajamas are welcome for the event.

“We just want everyone to come out with their friends, shop with the vendors, and enjoy the evening out, all while in the coziness of their pajamas,” she said.

Santa Claus will make an appearance for holiday-themed group pictures. Props will be available to dress up the photos to help make a keepsake from the evening. Digital pictures are $10 one one pose, or $25 for three poses.

In addition to the fashion shows and shopping, nightly raffles will also be held with a twist. Winners of the raffle will choose a gift to unwrap, but it may not be the prize they take home. The next raffle winner will have the choice to steal the unwrapped gift from the winners before them, or pick a new unwrapped gift. Raffle prizes include gift cards, holiday-themed items, and various prizes donated by the vendors.

Tickets to this event are on sale now, and are $5 for general admission. There is also a $15 VIP package that includes a refreshment and a raffle ticket. Tickets can be purchased on the organization’s website, KCwomensministry.org. General admission tickets can also be purchased at the door for $10 and VIP for $20.

This event is for those over 18, but nursing infants are welcome to attend.

Top Hat Winery is located at 120 South Main Street, Independence, Mo.

This event will support the launching of the KC Women’s Ministry Postpartum Program, a program where doulas help families after the arrival of a new baby with a postpartum plan to include coordinating the home support team to facilitate mom’s healing, while bonding with baby, and they are a resource for those new-parent questions. Proceeds will also support Birth it Forward, a program that provides doula services to mothers in need.

The KC Women’s Ministry is a non-profit organization offering prenatal and birth support, breastfeeding support, postpartum support and pregnancy loss support to area women and families.
