Created by Grande Experiences, Van Gogh Alive is a large-scale, immersive multi-sensory arts and entertainment experience that has inspired over 8 million people across 70 cities around the world. For Van Gogh Alive, Starlight will transform its stage house into the world of the revered 19th century painter. Patrons will wander through the exhibit in Starlight’s 12,000 square foot and climate-controlled space.

Visitors will sense the feeling of Van Gogh’s paintings that are simultaneously enchanting, entertaining and educational. Interactive art stations will be available where visitors can also create their own art with the help of expert video tutorials. Additionally, participants can create their own souvenirs within a life-sized walk-in representation of Van Gogh’s “Bedroom in Arles” painting and the iconic “Sunflower selfie room” – a 360° mirrored room complete with hundreds of sunflowers that has delighted Instagram feeds the world over. Here they can create their own masterpiece and share their images using #VanGoghAliveKC.

Van Gogh Alive runs October 23, 2021, through December 31, 2021, at Starlight Theatre. The experience will be open Tuesday through Sunday – check kcstarlight.com for hours of operation. Final entry is one hour before the experience closes. Tickets start at $45 and go on sale Tuesday, June 1 at 10 a.m. Starlight is the only official ticketing provider of Van Gogh Alive and tickets may only be purchased online at kcstarlight.com or by calling the Starlight Box Office at 816-363-7827.

In the Fields of the North / En los Campos del Norte features photojournalist David Bacon’s evocative, powerful photographs alongside moving oral narratives from migrant farmworkers. The exhibition, fully translated into both English and Spanish, gives viewers a reality check on the food they eat and the lives of the people who harvest it.

Traveling with migrant workers as the fruit and harvest season moves from the Mexican border to Washington state, In the Fields of the North / En los Campos del Norte sheds light on some basic questions: How much do we know about the lives of the people who feed us? Where do they live? How does it feel to do some of the hardest repetitive labor imaginable? And, what answers do farm workers themselves have to end their poverty and endless migration?

From its formation in 2003, Ernie Haase has built Signature Sound into one of the most popular and beloved quartets in all of Southern Gospel music. The group has traveled all over the world, offering energy, excitement and encouragement through its powerful brand of gospel music. EHSS continues to gain fans all around the globe with its unique performances and unmistakable four-part harmonies. EHSS is one of the most celebrated quartets in Southern Gospel History mentioned with the same “trailblazing” reverence as groups likes The Statesmen Quartet and The Cathedral Quartet. EHSS has sung and sold to millions worldwide, a feat that has not been accomplished by any other Southern Gospel quartet. From concerts in Latvia and India to South Africa and New Zealand, events all around North America, TV appearances on ESPN with NASCAR, multiple NBA appearances singing our National Anthem, and even a specialty tour of historic American theaters in support of the EHSS Broadway project, Signature Sound is a world-renowned quartet that spans a wide variety of genres and cultures

How can we model our love of neighbor and family like these men and women to leave our own historical footprint in the upcoming year?
