ABOUT THE FILM
A Common Goal reveals an untold story about a polarized nation and one of its diverse sports teams. While trying to navigate the year’s biggest international soccer challenge, players on the Israeli National Soccer Team experience controversy fueled by the media and prejudiced fans. Ultimately, this team finds the strength to overcome their differences and rise to the occasion for their last opportunity to qualify for the World Cup in 28 years. In this complex scenario, soccer is the unexpected bond that brings hope to a broken nation.

ABOUT GADI KINDA
Gadi Kinda has earned five appearances with the Israeli National Team, scoring on his international debut in 2021, and starred as one of the Israeli Premier League’s best players with more than 200 appearances in Israel from 2011-2019. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Israel, Kinda spent the first seven and a half years of his professional career at FC Ashdod. He developed as a youth in his hometown club’s academy prior to making his Israeli Premier League debut in September 2011 as a 17-year-old. Kinda was transferred to Beitar Jerusalem in February 2019 and played a leading role in the club’s turnaround before joining Sporting Kansas City as a Designated Player in 2020. The 28-year-old playmaker, who earned Sporting KC Newcomer of the Year honors in his first Major League Soccer season, has contributed 11 goals and 12 assists in 44 regular season appearances for Sporting.

Kansas City’s Jewish Film Festival invites you to an immersive viewing experience of A Common Goal at Children’s Mercy Park. As part of the Movies At The Park series, this soccer feature film will be broadcast on the stadium’s large video boards, followed by an exclusive interview with Israeli native and Sporting KC player Gadi Kinda.

Event Entry: $14 per person (children under the age of 2 are free)

Concessions will be available for purchase from vendors like City Foods & Events, Dip N Dots, and Ellenberg Experience Kosher Food Truck.

Please adhere to stadium entry protocols.
*Due to heat projected for this event, each attendee is allowed to bring one sealed water bottle.
