Christmas ‘wish list’ for area adoption, foster and pro-life ministries

Each year Metro Voice highlights area ministries and their Christmas “Wish List.” It’s an opportunity for the community to give back to specific needs or causes that these organizations need assistance with. In the past we’ve focused on homelessness (we have other articles about that) but this year we are focusing on organizations working in the areas of adoption, fostering and the pro-life cause including women’s clinics and services.

KANSANS FOR LIFE

We can be successful in Kansas by educating legislators and the public about the dangers of unlimited abortion, and the need for the Value Them Both Amendment. Read more about it HERE.  Your partnership and gift today will help ensure that we prevail. Please consider making a generous end-of-year donation online through Kansans for Life’s website at KFL.org/Donate, or by mail to 3301 W. 13th St., Wichita, KS 67203.

MISSOURI RIGHT TO LIFE

At Missouri Right to Life-Western Region, we believe that prayer is the foundation of any effective ministry, volunteers are the bricks that create stability, and financial donations are the mortar that holds it all together. We welcome and appreciate your partnership in any of these ways as we defend the sanctity of life in the new year.

Alliance for Life

The Alliance for Life has a vision for 2021 to expand the life movement within churches. Our wish would be for the financial resources needed to help us raise up and train life disciples within the church that will create an environment of the church as a “safe place” for women when they find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy. Where they will turn to the church first rather than considering abortion first.

THE LIGHTHOUSE

The LIGHT House is assisting around 30 families with Christmas this year and hoping to collect Walmart gift cards in increments of $10s/$20s, so each parent can pick out a gift item for their child. The LIGHT House provides support to pregnant & parenting young women in the Kansas City area, who have chosen life for their babies, through residential care & Outreach educational services. During the COVID pandemic, we had to suspend in personal classes, but continue to assist families with bi-monthly distribution of baby supplies & clothing.
