At a time of renewed interest in Israel, Iran, and Bible prophecy, Calvary University will host a free daylong conference on March 25 in South Kansas City.
The event, “Israel in God’s Plan,” is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Liberty Chapel, 15790 Elmwood Ave. on the border with Belton in south Kansas City. Register early to ensure a seat.
The conference will focus on whether Israel continues to hold a distinct place in biblical prophecy and theology, an issue that has long shaped evangelical teaching and debate. With war raging with Iran (ancient Persia), all eyes seem to be on prophecy in 2026. Sessions are set to cover Daniel 9, Ezekiel 37, and the broader question of whether God’s covenant promises to Israel remain in force.
Dr. Gary Gromacki, Calvary’s Department Chair of Bible and Theology, will open the conference with a session on “Israel in the Seventy Weeks Prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27.” He will be followed by Dr. Ian Bacon speaking on “Israel Spiritually Restored in the Future” from Ezekiel 37. The schedule also includes a panel discussion on “Israel in God’s Plan,” a message from Joel Williamson titled “Can God Replace Israel?” and a session by Dr. Mike Dodds on “An Historical, Theological, and Biblical Evaluation of Replacement Theology.”
Gromacki, who holds Th.M., D.Min., and a Ph.D, has published extensively on the topic, and they give some indication of the perspective attendees can expect. In a paper on “the times of the Gentiles,” he wrote that the period “will end with the second coming of Messiah Jesus,” when Christ will defeat Gentile armies and deliver the Jewish remnant in Jerusalem.
He has also written directly about replacement theology, having completed his Doctorate on “Israel and the Error of Replacement Theology.”
Admission is free, though Calvary says those planning to attend should register in advance. An optional Chick-fil-A lunch will be available for $15.
A conference of this caliber is not unusual for the college, considered a hidden gem in Biblical education in the region, as the school’s rankings place it among the leading Christian colleges. It also holds to a classic model of ministry training that many small regional schools have dropped. Students in its Bible and Theology program are still required to study the biblical languages, including Greek and Hebrew, reflecting the school’s emphasis on serious preparation for teaching and ministry.
The college is offering more events for the public in 2026. It recently hosted Metro Voice’s “Israel Uncharted!” speaker series with a presentation by Bible scholar Aaron Lipkin from Israel speaking on the discovery of Joshua’s Altar and the lead tablet.
The school has other public events planned this month. From March 19-22, the theater department will present “All in the Timing,” described as a “laugh-out-loud, award-winning production of one-act comedies. It explores the unpredictable nature of love, language and chance encounters. Ticket prices start at just $5.72 and can be purchased HERE.
Calvary Day is March 23 and your high school student can shadow Calvary students, sit in actual college classroom sessions, meet professors and tour the campus. More information HERE.
The school’s Feast and Fund event is a fun fundraiser open to the public on Friday night, March 27. Special speaker is Les Norman, former MLB player and host of “Breakin’ the Norm” podcast. It includes a prime beef dinner, plus a live and silent auction featuring unusual items. Tickets are just $35 per person for the evening. Tickets available HERE or by calling 816-425-6178.
