Global Prayer and Worship Unite at Jerusalem’s Tower of David
Tuesday marks the anniversary of the Hamas terror attacks in Israel. Christian and Jewish friends of the nation joined in prayer Monday at the Tower of David in Jerusalem.
The event, sponsored by Eagles’ Wings, brought together members of the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem and Awake Jerusalem. Since its founding in 2002, Day of Prayer has mobilized millions of believers from more than 175 nations to intercede for Jerusalem, affirming Psalm 122:6, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: may they prosper
who love you.”
Following prayer, the celebration continued as Awake Jerusalem transformed the Tower of David into a vibrant center of praise and proclamation. This evening of worship featured award-winning artists and global influencers, including Nate Diaz, Paul Wilbur, David Binion, Bryson Rory, Ross Johnston and others from around the world. Together, these back-to-back gatherings embody the heartbeat of a growing global movement that believes Jerusalem is not only the center of biblical history but the epicenter of God’s redemptive future for the nations.
“Today, as the world’s eyes are once again on Jerusalem, we stand shoulder to shoulder — Jew and Christian, Israeli and international — declaring that God’s covenant promises still stand,” said Bishop Robert Stearns, founder and executive Director of Eagles’ Wings. “This is more than a concert or a prayer meeting; it is a prophetic sign that hope and restoration are rising from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. When we pray and worship together here, we are shaping history.”
The convergence of the Day of Prayer and Awake Jerusalem also is the culmination of the Watchmen on the Wall Tour, which has brought hundreds of Christian leaders and believers to Israel this year to walk the ancient paths, meet local leaders and strengthen ties between the church and Israel.
