Hillcrest needs clothing donations this weekend

As you are cleaning out the basement or your bedroom closets this weekend, remember area ministries in need of clothing donations. Hillcrest Ministries is in particular need of items.
When you donate your gently used clothing and household items to Hillcrest Thrift Stores, you help transform lives. The ministry directly supports Hillcrest’s efforts to solve homelessness throughout the greater Kansas City area, including Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas, and Jackson and Clay Counties in Missouri.

Their Lenexa thrift store (located at 79th and Quiver Road) is desperate for clothing donations. Donations are accepted 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays. For large donations, schedule a donation pick-up by calling 913-808-5360.

Make it a group effort! Consider mobilizing your faith community, civic organization, school, or neighborhood on behalf of Hillcrest with a clothing drive for our thrift store.

We look forward to seeing you at either our Lenexa or Lee’s Summit thrift store soon!
