Make this Christmas season one to remember with select area events

The Christmas season is a great time to share experiences with friends and family, but more importantly a time to share the true meaning of Christmas.   “This timeless holiday show becomes a life-changing experience for the whole family, as audience members experience the gospel before their eyes!” states Amy Scrivner, marketing director of The Mystery of Christmas.

Brianna Collins, Artistic Director of Greenleaf Performing Arts Academy shared, “Emmanuel provides a beautiful avenue to spark conversations, see ancient truths in a fresh light, and worshipfully enter into the Advent season with your family!” –

The local productions have adapted to today’s needs.  The Mystery of Christmas will be presented live and virtual.  This is the second year that  a performance of The Mystery of Christmas will be in Spanish which will be on  December 18 at 6 p.m.  The productions are also examples of professional talent that can assist us in finding the richer meaning of life!

A few of these productions are listed below.  Review the Metro Voice Community Calendar of Events for further Christmas productions.  Make this Christmas season, one to remember

Every December people gather together to watch Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. The Mystery of Christmas is a retelling of The Nutcracker, but the mystery it reveals is the true meaning of Christmas. Instead of traveling to the Land of Sweets, Clara is taken back to the birth of Our Savior. She witnesses His birth and the angels giving praise to God. Then, she sees the nations come to worship and bow down before Him. The story is completed by Clara seeing the redemption of the Cross and how God reconciles all the nations back to himself. This is the Mystery of the Ages, Christ in You, the Hope of Glory!

“Rise up and help us; redeem us because of your unfailing love.” This was the cry of Israel for centuries as they waited for a savior. Human history is a tale of rebellion and redemption, struggle and glory, and, above all, the faithful love of God. Emmanuel is the story of humanity’s rescue, told through the beauty of movement. Don’t miss this powerful Advent dance performance, presented by Greenleaf’s Vinea and Velocity Dance Companies, along with alumni and guests.
