Maranatha Christian Academy: more than just another school

Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is more than just another school. Maranatha is family, it is academic excellence, it is community.   MCA has been providing excellence in Christian education in the Shawnee, Kansas, area for almost 45 years. The mission of MCA is to train and equip students for life and for service to Jesus Christ through a Biblical worldview, character development, and academic excellence. To accomplish this mission, MCA provides academics based on a Biblical foundation. That foundation is strengthened by a district-wide scope and sequence-based curriculum that helps bridge student’s education from pre-k through graduation, and beyond.

MCA is dually accredited through ACSI and AdvancEd. As a dually accredited organization, MCA provides an excellent education that is vetted by national standards and rigorous performance-based testing. MCA’s pre-k curriculum helps set the stage for success with recent classes testing with over 95% scoring above national target goals for “academically gifted learners.” This excellence continues as MCA senior’s average ACT scores consistently are above state and national averages. As an example of excellence, due to the hard work of students and teachers, the 2018 and 2019 graduating classes were each awarded over $1 million in scholarships to Post-Secondary Education Organizations across the country. MCA also offers up to 36 dual credit classes so your student can earn college credit while still in high school, helping to pave the way for an early foundation for academic excellence in college, also.

MCA also has a dynamic extracurricular activity program. MCA’s fine arts has a well-deserved reputation of high-quality performance and MCA’s athletic program is consistently advancing to state competition levels in a multitude of sports.

Maranatha Christian Academy offers classes from Kindergarten Prep through 12th grade.

We are currently enrolling all grade levels for the upcoming school year.
