A new event, the Ward-Meade Garden Glow, will replace Apple Festival for 2020 at Old Prairie Town/Ward-Meade Botanical Garden. Patterned after the popular Tulips at Twilight event which was canceled this year due to COVID-19, Garden Glow will feature lighted displays and larger-than-life illuminated flowers. Garden Glow is set for Oct. 2-11 from 7-10 p.m. nightly. Admission is a $5 donation. Children age five and under are free
“Apple Festival is a very interactive event with a lot of question and answer education, close contact and touching of vendor goods,” said John Bell, recreation supervisor for Old Prairie Town. “With Garden Glow, we are still able to offer a great event to the community with appropriate safety guidelines in place.”

While Garden Glow will feature some of the same displays seen at Tulips at Twilight, it will also feature some never-before-seen displays as well.
