Six notable partners and supporters have been inducted into the Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ (FCA) 2024 Hall of Champions. The move is in recognition of their extraordinary commitment to the organization’s goal of using sports to change lives for Christ. Dr. Tom Woodall, Jason and Jenny Stein, Mike and Lynne Krueger, and Jeff Chase are among the latest inductees. They have all made significant contributions to FCA and the communities they serve.
“This year’s Hall of Champions class represents a group of dedicated individuals who exemplify a strong commitment to Christ, their communities, and the influence of sports in advancing our mission,” stated FCA President and CEO Shane Williamson. “We’re honored to recognize Mike and Lynne Krueger, Tom Woodall, Jason and Jenny Stein, and Jeff Chase for their impact and leadership.”
Jeff Chase: Devoted Coach and Mentor in Oregon
Jeff Chase has dedicated his time to Lake Oswego, Oregon, where he has been an FCA supporter, coach, and chaplain since retiring more than ten years ago. With the goal of spreading this concept throughout the Pacific Northwest, Chase serves as a character coach for the boys’ basketball program and coach for the freshman football team at Lakeridge High School.
Mike and Lynne Krueger: Committed Wisconsin Advocates
Young people were motivated by the late Mike Krueger and his wife Lynne’s passion for FCA’s goal. Mike was a member of the State Board and the FCA Board of Trustees, among other FCA boards in Wisconsin. In keeping with the couple’s service legacy, Lynne is still involved with the Southern Wisconsin Events Committee.
Jason and Jenny Stein: Prominent California Leaders
At Sonora High School, where Jason coaches varsity basketball and Jenny serves as the team’s athletic trainer, the two have been employees for 26 years. Sonora’s FCA Huddle has expanded to draw sizable weekly attendance under their direction, creating an atmosphere conducive to discipleship. Through their efforts, local eighth-grade children are able to get mentorship and spiritual training.
Dr. Tom Woodall: Professor Emeritus and FCA Pioneer
Dr. Tom Woodall has been involved with FCA for more than 60 years; in 1963, he attended his first FCA camp. Woodall, a professor emeritus at Eastern Illinois University and a former member of the Illinois FCA Board, has devoted decades to assisting FCA, planning events, and coaching huddles. He continues to have a respected impact on the program.
The FCA Hall of Champions, which was founded in 1991 and now has 144 members, honors individuals who have dedicated their life to furthering FCA’s goal and changing lives through ministry and athletics around the world.
