Hamas murders hostage, injures two others

Hamas announced Monday that it had killed a male hostage and severely wounded two female hostages.

It is the first time the terrorist regime has confessed to the murder of a hostage taken in the Oct. 7 invasion of Israel. Hamas announced the murder on Telegram and is a departure from it falsely blaming hostage deaths on Israeli airstrikes.

Avichay Adraee, head of the Arab media division of the IDF spokesperson’s Unit, posted in Arabic on X, “In the last few minutes, the terrorist group Hamas published a written report claiming that in two separate incidents, Hamas activists killed an Israeli [male] captive and wounded two women captives.”

He added, “At this stage there is no intelligence document to confirm or refute Hamas’ allegations. We continue to investigate the credibility of the statement and will provide information where we have it.”

Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant states that as few as 20 to 35 hostages remain alive in the “humanitarian” category as reported by Kan. Some hostages, who served in the IDF, are being held as military prisoners of war.

The number is concerning because approximately 130 hostages were thought to still be held in captivity.

Hamas cancelled negotiations this week as Iran prepares to attack Israel with long-grange missiles. The US has beefed up its military presence ahead of the possible military strike by the Ayatollah.

In a move thought to be a show of support for Israel, Saudi Arabia resumed its attacks on Yemen where Houthi terrorists have been waging a civil war against the government. The Biden administration pressured Saudi Arabia to end its campaign which observers say led to the strengthening of Houthi terrorists and their access to long-range missiles which it has fired at Israel, the shipping lanes, and US warships.
