Government removes signs that claim glaciers “gone” by 2020
The National Park Service is quietly removing signage that make now unproven claims. Signs in Montana’s Glacier National Park on the Canada-United States border stated, “The small alpine glaciers present today started forming about 7,000 years ago and reached their maximum in size and number around 1850, at the end of the Little Ice Age,” the sign claimed. “They are now rapidly shrinking due to human-caused climate change. Computer models indicate the glaciers will be all gone by the year 2020.” They’ve been removed. Critics say when scientists repeatedly portray a doomsday-style argument, it can be hard for the public to believe them after so many incorrect predictions.
Youngest ever male U.S. track Olympian
Running sensation Quincy Wilson, 16, is going to the Paris Olympics, becoming the youngest American male to be part of the Olympic track team, CBS News reports. Wilson, who will be on the 4×400 relay pool, posted on his social media about the selection, with the caption: “WE GOING TO THE OLYMPICS.” On Monday, he posted a photo with the official uniform with the “USA” emblazoned on it on his Instagram Story. Olympic historian Bill Mallon says Wilson is the youngest male track Olympian to make the U.S. team. The youngest ever track and field American athlete is Esther Stroy, who competed at the age of 15 in the 1968 Olympics.
Kamala Harris fact-checked on Twitter
Vice President Kamala Harris was “lying” on Monday when she tweeted “Donald Trump would ban abortion nationwide. President @JoeBiden and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women’s reproductive freedom.” The tweet drew immediate condemnation from X owner Elon Musk who replied “When will politicians, or at least the intern who runs their account, learn that lying on this platform doesn’t work anymore?” Harris’s abortion tweet also drew fact-checks from Twitter users in the community notes section, an area that offers context to tweets. Users users posted information from CNN, BBC, The Associated Press, The New York Times, and Trump’s own Truth Social account that disproved Harris’ claim. The AP report used to fact-check Harris was bluntly headlined, “Trump declines to endorse a national abortion ban. He says limits should be left to the states.”
200 missing kids recovered with most from sex-trafficking situations
The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) found 200 missing children during the course of a six-week national sting that ended last week. “Operation We Will Find You 2,” is the second operation of its kind under an effort begun during the Trump administration. It was conducted in seven federal judicial districts and geographic locations across the U.S. from May 20 to June 24. In a press release, the USMS said the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (USMEC) assisted in the operation. Out of the 200 children, 173 were endangered runaways with 123 of those found in sex-trafficking situations, 25 were considered missing, a family member abducted one, and one was a non-family abduction. Additionally, 14 of the recovered children were located outside the city where they were reported missing, and the youngest was 5 months old.
Pride parade featured sex acts in front of children, participation of FBI, ATF
TENET Media has released video of the recent pride parade in San Francisco, reports the Christian Post. The event featured nude adults walking around in front of children and a “Fetish Zone” where men urinated on each other in a kiddie pool and performed other public sex acts. The event receives millions in corporate donations and support from the Biden administration. Both the ATF and FBI also participated in the parade, according to footage obtained by TENET Media. Field reporter Taylor Hansen also posted a thread on X detailing more footage he captured of naked adults in front of children at the parade, including one man who positioned himself at the front of the crowd as multiple school districts and the Boy Scouts of America marched by in the parade.
