Nicole C. Mullen’s “Freedom” Remix Launches with The American Miracle Release

Grammy-nominated and nine-time Dove Award winner Nicole C. Mullen is set to release a powerful new music video for her song “Freedom,” celebrating its 25th anniversary alongside the national theatrical debut of The American Miracle: Our Nation is No Accident.

The remixed anthem will premiere during the film’s limited run in theaters nationwide June 9–11, 2025, presented by Fathom Entertainment and Heroic Pictures.

Nicole: Movie reveals God’s hand in history

The music video, featuring Mullen’s on-set performance blended with evocative silent film clips, appears during the movie’s credits, creating a bridge between her artistry and the film’s historic narrative. Originally released in 2000, “Freedom” takes on deeper resonance as Mullen steps into the role of Elizabeth “Mumbet” Freeman—a real-life enslaved woman who won her freedom in court and became a symbol of courage and justice.

The American Miracle, based on Michael Medved’s New York Times bestseller, explores pivotal moments in American history—from the Revolutionary War to landmark court cases—through the lens of divine providence. The cast features Pat Boone, Kevin Sorbo as Thomas Jefferson, Cameron Arnett, Libby Smallbone, and James Arnold Taylor, with commentary from historians and public figures like Richard Dreyfuss, Robert P. George, and Akhil Reed Amar. Daniel Shippey, a respected George Washington interpreter, also joins the ensemble, lending authenticity to the film’s historical portrayals as reported in an earlier interview by Metro Voice.
