Star of “The Wonder Years” at peace after becoming a Christian

Danica McKellar, who starred in “The Wonder Years,” said she is now a better parent since becoming a Christian.

“Faith guides everything, including parenting,” she says. “For me, my faith journey has led me to the most comforting place of knowing that I can consult with God at any time This is so comforting to me to have this other guiding force in my life. When Bible scripture is mentioned in church, I know what it is now.”

Earlier this year, the “Crown For Christmas” star opened up about the transformation she’s seen in her life after finding faith following an invitation to attend to church more than two years ago from “Full House” actress Candace Cameron Bure.

“Bure brought me into her church on Palm Sunday, and we saw the passion play there at Shepherd Church,” she added in an interview with Fox News. “It changed my life. I don’t know what happened. Some people say the Holy Spirit came to me. All I know is that I knew I became a believer, and it was the most wonderful, transformative moment.”

She has been at peace from that moment onward. “I was flooded with this knowingness, and I have such peace from that still after two years and I’m so grateful for it,” McKellar continued, noting how the Easter season is full of “redemption and rebirth. And I feel that.”

McKellar, who is set to star in Great American Family‘s “A Cinderella Christmas Ball” airing in November, shares a son, 14-year-old Draco, with ex-husband Mike Verta. She is currently married to attorney Scott Sveslosky, who also has a son from a previous relationship.

McKeller admitted that she “used to spend a lot more time worrying and stressing out about how to make decisions and what to do next and ‘What if, what if,’” but now, “Knowing it’s in God’s hands means that even when things happen that I don’t think I want to have happen, I can say, ‘Well, let me just be curious about this. I wonder what the big plan is that I can’t see.'”
